Lutecia makes an online store available to AI agents. An agent can search the store's products, build a cart and place the order. Orders are created in the store itself, at its prices, and appear in the back office with the others. The customer pays inside the agent, on the merchant's Stripe account. Shipping follows the store's usual process.
Without that connection, an agent knows a store from crawled pages, a copy taken the day the crawler passed. It can describe a product from that copy. It cannot check the price or the stock, and it cannot send the store an order. Lutecia connects the store itself, through the Universal Commerce Protocol, an open standard from Google and Shopify that Gemini, Google AI Mode and Copilot use. ChatGPT reads a product file instead. Lutecia prepares it from the catalog, and ChatGPT shows the products and sends the shopper to the store.
Today this works for WooCommerce stores, with the merchant's Stripe account. Setup is a plugin from WordPress.org. The protocols are still evolving. Lutecia updates the connection as they change, with no work on the merchant's side.
